Hi I'm Michael Pulsipher

I'm a family historian, a classic book reader, a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and a Mormon.

About Me

I am from Utah, and have spent my whole life here. I really enjoy doing family history on the computer and going to the temple to preform ordinances for my deceased ancestors and relatives. I have done over 200 ordinances in the temple, and I have found records for countless others. After my mission, I plan on attending college and specializing in family history work. Along with family history, I enjoy reading books by Louisa May Alcott, Lucy Maud Montgomery, Frances Hodgson Burnett, and other classic authors. I have become a collector of great books, and I now own over two hundred books. I also really enjoy proclaiming my enthusiasm for life with musical theater, and so I have participated in various community theatrical productions, including Annie, The Wizard of Oz and Narnia. There is just something completely thrilling in preparing and preforming musical productions.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but that doesn't mean I haven't needed to gain my own testimony. It is important for everybody in this church, whether they are the newest convert or the oldest member, to gain their own personal realization that this Church is true. Throughout my life, as I have studied the Book of Mormon and other scriptures, prayed, and followed the counsel from the living apostles and prophets, I have felt the Holy Ghost confirm to me that what this gospel is teaching is very true. The Holy Ghost has also helped me feel the deep and eternal love that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ have for me, and so, I know that they only want the very best for me, which is what this Church provides. Now, as I serve a full-time, 24/7, LDS mission, I will be striving to help the people in Guatemala understand what I understand and feel what I have felt through the Holy Ghost. The goal of this Church is not to build its membership. Instead, it is to help people come unto Christ, and that is what I will be doing for two years in Guatemala.

How I live my faith

I have always been a member of the Church, and I have served in helping to strengthen other church members since I was 14 by visiting them in their homes and reviewing gospel topics with them. I have helped plan activities for the youth of the Church, including a pioneer Trek in which we reenacted the life of the Mormon pioneers by pulling handcarts for four days through sagebrushy terrain. Also, as I go through my daily living, I try to find ways to brighten other people's days, whether through a smile, a note, or a hand-delivered vase of flowers. Soon, I will be leaving my native Utah, and entering a whole new world as I go on a LDS mission to Guatemala and teach the people there about the restored Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
