Hi I'm Miranda

I love the great outdoors, seeking adventure and serving the special needs community. I love being a Mormon!

About Me

I am a nature lover, I love being outdoors and experiencing all Gods beautiful creations. I am always looking for new adventures and experiencing life to its fullest. I am a college student and am studying to become an Occupational Therapist. But at the end of the day one of the most important things to me is people. I am a giant people person and love to meet new people. I always ask others this question: "What is your ambition in life in 7 words or less?" and this is my respond... "Show others their true potential through love." What would yours be?

Why I am a Mormon

I was a member of the LDS church till I was about 10 years old, after that my family had fallen away. Growing up in Utah and not being active in the church during my elementary and middle school years was hard and I followed a crowd that was leading me down a path in life, I later figured out, I didn't want to go. I was happy for awhile, but I knew I was missing something. After having a difficult ninth grade school year, my mom decided to transfer me to a new high school, where I didn't know anyone, we called it a fresh start. I started to see small changes in my life. My desires changed and my new friends were a great example to me by "living their faith." During my junior year of high school when I decided I needed God in my life. I slowly started going to church and I fell in love with the teachings of the gospel, but more importantly I fell in love with the way I felt. I was happy throughout my life, but the gospel brings me a type of true happiness that I cannot find anywhere else. It wasn't until the beginning of my senior year of high school when I truly became a full active member in the church. Now two years later I am getting ready to serve as a missionary and could not be more excited. This gospel gives me meaning and purpose and shows me life has so much more to offer than the trends of the world. As my relationship with God and Jesus Christ increases, so does my desire to share it with the world!! I cannot wait to serve as a missionary and help others find their true purpose and happiness in this life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by this quote: "Live in such a way that those who know you but don't know God will come to know God because they know you." Living my faith means not being afraid to stand out or stand alone. Its by following the prompts of the spirit to guide me in my daily life to serve and love others. I have the amazing opportunity to work with the young women in the church. I help plan and give lessons! Also, I have been called to serve as a missionary in the Colorado, Colorado Springs Mission!
