Hi I'm Timothy Zaugg

I'm From Canada. I aspire to become a Rancher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Mormon. I enjoy being outdoors. I have been in the Scouts Canada program for the last 10 years and have earned the Chief Scout Award. I love working with cows. I have completed the Green Certificate program through an agricultural college (a program to teach youth about farming). I have been in 4H beef for the last two years and have enjoyed being a 4H camp counselor in these past two summers. I have always dreamed of going on a mission to teach people about God and his church and I am excited because I will get to go very soon.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family. I had the good fortune of parents that took me to church regularly. I do not however go to church only because my family does. As I have prayed and studied the scriptures I slowly built my own testimony or unshakable belief in my Heavenly Father, His Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost. I also know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true church and it has the power and authority to do God's will here on earth and work mighty miracles. This church was set up by Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ through the prophet Joseph Smith and it is organized in the same way that the church of the New Testament was organized. This includes modern day Prophets and Apostles. I know that God prepared other books like the Bible, in that they testify of the truths of God, written in lands other than Israel, and God has revealed some of them to us. Chief among them are the Book of Mormon and the Pearl of Great Price. I know that this is the True Church, and I know that God loves and knows me personally.

How I live my faith

When I was 12 I became a Deacon. As a deacon my primary job was to pass the sacrament to the congregation on Sundays. I was called to lead the Deacons in my ward until I moved on to become a Teacher at age 14. When I was called to be a Teacher my job got bigger. In addition to passing the sacrament it was now my job the make sure the sacrament was ready before church. I was soon called to be the leader of the Teachers and I continued to lead the Teachers until I moved to a different ward. When I was 14 I also started going to seminary. Seminary is like a Bible class, but in addition to the Bible we study the Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, and The Pearl of Great Price. Seminary happened every morning before school and it was a great way to start the day. When I was 16 I became a Priest. I was called to a leadership position there too. As a priest my job is to prepare and pass the sacrament when necessary and to bless the sacrament. As a Priest I am also able to baptize new members of the church.
