Hi I'm Amanda

I love music, and I'm slightly obsessed with cookies! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I came from a big homeschooled family. My siblings and I love to write and perform plays and videos. We all play the piano. Music is a big part of our lives! I was recently the first child to leave the house when I moved to Idaho for school. This was a big step for all of us - especially me! It was really scary and hard at first. But I met many amazing people there who helped me through these changes. Now, I am happily studying piano performance. Someday I hope to teach piano at my own private studio.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church. But now that I am grown up and out of the house, church attendance is fully my choice. Though living up to such high standards is hard, and maybe even intimidating, I choose this path because I know it will bring me and those I love the most happiness. Love. That's what this gospel is to me. In the scriptures we read about God's love for us. He loved us so much that He created a world for us. He sent His only begotten son to save us from our sins. He offers us unimaginable blessings if we will only follow His path. God truly loves us. More than we can even comprehend. I forgot that once, and I found myself in a sad, lonely place. But as I have come to remind myself of these truths, I have found unspeakable joy and meaning in my life. I am a child of God. Me. Amanda. A small and weak little girl is the daughter of an all-powerful God. He loves me. He loves YOU. And because of that, I do everything I can to be like Him. I know that with His help, someday I will achieve my full potential.

How I live my faith

Sunday is my favorite day of the week. Every Sunday, I attend church services. I usually help out with the music - either accompanying the hymns on the piano, or leading the congregation. During the week, I try not to forget about what I learn at church. I try to read my scriptures and pray to my Father in heaven every day. Though I am not perfect (some days I forget!), I know I am blessed for my efforts.
