Hi I'm Becca Allen

I'm a convert to the the LDS church and I'm loving every moment of it. My name is Becca and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student, majoring in Early Childhood Education. I love life and I love my family. I was converted to the church September 26, 2015.

Why I am a Mormon

The first time I heard about the gospel, it was my freshman year in High School. I was very upset over the loss of my dad which happened a couple weeks prior and I didn't understand why my life was going downhill. A friend that sat next to me, tried to cheer me up and asked me if I knew what the Book of Mormon was and if I knew what our plan here was to do. Although I never really thought about religion, it made me wonder what was our purpose was. At the time, I remember thinking that our purpose was to get a good job, and to maybe have kids, but I never thought there was actual purpose here. A couple years later, I had some LDS friends who were in seminary. They were doing a Book of Mormon challenge in class, which meant that anyone who was in seminary would bring a copy of the Book of Mormon to school, so when someone would ask about it , they would receive their own copy. Reluctantly, I was one of the people who asked a question about the Book and received my own copy. With the help of many people I was able to was able to finish the Book of Mormon and receive my own testimony of the gospel. Although it took months for my family to be okay with me getting baptized, it was worth the wait. Because of my first friend teaching me about the Plan of Salvation, my second friend who gave me the Book of Mormon, the missionaries who taught me about the gospel, and many others who helped me, I was able to be baptized and now have a chance to serve a mission in Costa Rica. I am so grateful to be a member and know that Heavenly Father has a plan for all of us.

How I live my faith

I love spreading my faith with others. Especially those that have never really paid attention to this religion. I have been blessed to help with some missionary visits. They helped grow my faith of the scriptures. I am currently serving a Mission in Costa Rica because I know how important this gospel is in my life, so I want to share it with everyone I can.
