Hi I'm Sherman Zeeman

My name is Sherman Zeeman. I grew up in Payson, Utah. I drove over sized load diesel trucks for over 50 years, I am a Mormon.

About Me

I Sherman Zeeman was born in Payson, Utah, USA on October 29, 1935. I married Patricia Phillips in 1963. I am number 7 of 13 children. I have five brothers and seven sisters. I have four children, ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. I grew up working with my father and brothers on our farm. We planted our crops and worked with our horses. We also worked together to plaster houses and put cement and other needs in building in our area. I built machinery for the farm as it was needed. At an early age, I began rebuilding old cars and trucks for my transportation. I inherited the talent from my grandfather. I ran about five million miles before retiring. I have moved MX missiles, Abriam Army Tanks, D-10 CAT, the 992 Front End Loaders, and CAT scrapers to help remove the slit from the Kowitz River to keep from flooding Portland, Oregon during the Mt. St. Helens volcano eruption and many more things. My loads would weight from 80,000 for 158,00 pounds. I have been blessed with many talents concerning machinery and building many things for my needs. In 1958 I was drafted in the Army. I served in Germany for two years. Then, I was redeployed for another year in 1961 for the Berlin Crisis. I currently enjoy planting my gardens each year and harvesting my produce as well as harvesting my alfalfa crops each season.

Why I am a Mormon

Because of our travels throughout the world, I have witnessed many chaotic lifestyles and have studied my ancestors history who came to America in the 1800’s from Europe for a better life and for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. By not knowing the Gospel and having been enactive for many years of my life, I remembered the things that was told to us as children by my Mother. I questioned, “What happens after this life?” After many years of studying the scriptures, attending institute classes, and receiving the Holy Melchizedek Priesthood, the Spirit of the Holy Ghost made it known to me of the truthfulness of the Gospel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I know that Thomas S. Monson is our Prophet today. I know that Prophet Joseph Smith restored this Gospel of Jesus Christ and through him we received the Priesthood and I know the church is true. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I have served as a Ward Mission Leader, Membership Clerk, 2nd Counselor in the Bishopric, 1st Counselor in the Bishopric and Bishop of the Mountain View 5th Ward, Payson, Utah. I currently work in the Payson Utah Temple in the Baptistery every Tuesday night.
