Hi I'm Michelle Noel

I was born and raised in Southern California. I work in the 12 Step Addiction Recovery Program. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have worked in construction office management for 40 years. I have 5 children and 32 grandchildren. I attend college one class at a time and love learning. I taught aerobics for 10 years and still exercise several times a week. I have a passion for growing flowers, reading and my amazing husband.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church but at a turning point in my young teen life I had to find out for myself if 'all this church stuff' was true. One day I knelt in prayer and asked my Father in Heaven if living the commandments was worth it. There were no lightening bolts but I did receive a confirming peace that completely changed the direction of my life; it was a warm, reassuring feeling that I have never been able to deny. It felt somewhat like a warm beach breeze; as if it was coming from all directions at once. Now when things get difficult in life I remember that experience and the many like it which have followed and I know that my Heavenly Father is near and understands my needs. As we have watched our children become amazing adults with children of their own, I am amazed at God's beautiful Plan of Salvation which is centered in his Son Jesus Christ. I have learned that it is just better to follow Jesus. Things just seem to work out when we obey the commandments and follow the Light of Christ.

How I live my faith

I have worked with the youth of our church for several years. They are magnificent! I have worked with the 12 Step Addiction Recovery Program for the past 6 years both as a group leader and a sponsor. My husband and I are preparing to go on a full time mission which we have had a desire to do since the day we were married; 43 years ago.
