Hi I'm Charissa

I am from Fresno, California. I have completed two years of college. I am preparing to serve a mission in Colorado. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I love learning, in school, church, and life in general. I am currently studying dietetics to prepare to work in the medical field. I have been called to serve a mission in Colorado and I am very eager to serve the Lord and my fellow brothers and sisters.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ I have always known the church to be true, but as I got into high school I realized that I wanted to discover the truth of the everlasting gospel with a true and pure intent. So, in desperation to receive my own testimony I went to the Book of Mormon and prayed sincerely several times a day to know the truth for about a year with my goal in mind. As I saw the routine of my day change by starting and ending the day with a sincere prayer and a thorough study of the Book of Mormon I saw that I had a profound change in how I felt and acted. Because I put my faith in Heavenly Father to show me the way, I was able to gain my own foundational testimony, and it has been a building block for my ever-growing testimony. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true gospel and I encourage all to learn of its divine truth.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example to others. I love to serve others and put a smile on people's faces by loving and accepting of all. I simply share what I believe and try to be as Christ like as possible.

What is being a Mormon like?

Charissa
Being a Mormon is the best! As we learn and progress in the church we grow to understand the infinite love that our God has for us. God's love is eternal, and we just need to come unto him and partake of that love through the atonement of Jesus Christ. I have heard it described as God has his arms open to us but sadly we are the ones that turn away from him but we can turn to him and receive his mercy by his grace. Being a Mormon is such a great blessing because it really proclaims the truth of our Heavenly Father's Plan of Happiness, which is all based on the love of God. Show more Show less
