Hi I'm Alicia

I was born and raised in Maryland. I love donuts and volleyball. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student in college; however I am postponing my studies to serve an 18 month mission in Germany! My all-time favorite artist is Ellie Goulding, I love amusement parks, I enjoy camping, and I love cheeseburgers with fries and a milkshake! I was studying psychology but now I'm thinking about changing to something in the field of mathematics. I am an avid dog lover but I own a cat and a rabbit. I also love traveling!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that God lives and that He loves me. I lost my dad in car crash when I was 13 and since then life has thrown some pretty big rocks at me. I have struggled with an eating disorder and a mental illness, and throughout it all God has been by my side. In times when I have completely alone and could not pick myself up to continue walking, Christ picked me up and continued to walk for me. I continue to live the gospel because this is the gospel that has helped me get to know Christ in a way that I have never known Him before. I love my Father in Heaven and Jesus Christ so much. It is through them that I have learned what true love and happiness feels like. I know that Jesus Christ lives. I know that he walked on this earth and that he taught the gospel of God. I know that prophets are called of God and spread messages from Him to us. I know that we are all God's children, and that because he is our Father, he loves us enough to have created a plan for us to return to Him and live with him for all time and eternity. I know that families are gifts from our Father in Heaven and that they are eternal bonds. I love Christ and my Heavenly Father, and I am know His message to be true.

How I live my faith

I assist church meetings every Sunday! I love singing church songs to attract and create a reverent spirit. Throughout my youth I have been involved in leading other youth to participate in engaging and uplifting activities like youth dances and trips. While still in high school, I attended and participated in my early morning seminary class where a group of other youth members and I would learn and teach each other about the biblical stories found in the Old and New Testament, the Book of Mormon, and Doctrine and Covenants. As of now, I live my faith by choosing to be obedient and serve God. I have a desire to share my testimony with others, so I am getting ready to serve an 18 month mission in Germany. I live the gospel doctrine by keeping my body holy and healthy from harm, and by following in Christ's footsteps. I have found this to be somewhat simple by focusing on serving others in the smallest of ways and helping/loving them, rather than focusing on how my actions will benefit me.
