Hi I'm Sue

I grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania but now live in a small town in Wyoming. I am a retired logistician, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm married and have 2 grown children. I'm a retired logistician. I live in a small western town. I like country life....beautiful mountain views....no traffic to speak of....friendly town folk....quiet. I like hiking, attending local events, "puttering around" in the garden, and experimenting in the kitchen with new recipes (Some work out and some don't!).

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 20 and studying in Paris France for a semester, my friend told me about the Mormon missionaries she had met in Belgium. I had been searching in regard to religion. I found out where the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was in Paris, and I attended. The missionaries taught me about the Church, and I was delighted with what I was hearing. It seemed like what I was searching for. It seemed right. It made sense. I read the Book of Mormon and prayed to know if the Church was true. I received a testimony that it is true. My decision to be baptized was the best decision I have ever made. I have had many trials in my life, but the one consistent and bright light in my life has always been the gospel of Jesus Christ. The knowledge that, no matter what I go through, my Savior Jesus Christ understands, for He took upon him all of our pain and trials when He atoned for our sins. He loves me, my Heavenly Father love me. If I live worthily and keep my covenants, I can live eternally with them after this mortal life. I know the Church is true. I am thankful that God did not just speak to His people in scriptural times. I am thankful we still have prophets as His mouthpiece to guide and direct us. I am very thankful to have been a Mormon for these past 38 years.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving others, treating others the way I would like to be treated, and trying to live a good Christian life. I have provided service in and out of the Church. I have taught lessons, organized activities and service projects with women, teenagers, and young children as 3 separate groups. I have chaperoned teenagers on trips to the Temple and Church historic sites. I try to make others feel good about themselves. I try to radiate the light of Christ. My husband and I have volunteered to serve a Church mission. We have since been called to support a branch in New York for 18 months. We are very excited about it, and look forward to providing support as best we can.
