Hi I'm Hannah Biesinger

I am half-Japanese. I love to play the violin. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

One of my favorite things to do is anything to do with violin- practice, perform, study- you name it! I've been playing since I was three years old and it's become a part of me. There is something so special about sharing my beliefs and my religion through my music. It's where a big part of my enjoyment of playing the violin comes from. I am a student in my sophomore year of college. I studied violin performance for one year but am thinking of switching to accounting- there's something I just love about numbers and math! I love learning and expanding my horizons. I am currently preparing to serve an LDS mission in the amazing mission of Illinois Chicago! I am so excited to go out, be a missionary, and teach others the gospel. I had thought a lot about whether or not I should serve a mission. I prayed about it but wasn't getting a clear answer. On February 1, 2017, I just made a decision. I decided to go on a mission, and it felt SO GOOD! I was so happy that I starting crying. Ever since then, I have been getting more and more excited to go. I love Jesus Christ and I love this gospel, and I hope I can invite others to come unto Christ that they can know about the love Jesus Christ has for them and for us all.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I know Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ live and love me. I was raised in the church and baptized at 8 years old. As I have learned more and more about the church and had my own experiences with the love of Jesus Christ, whether through using the Atonement or through people helping me in my ward, my testimony has grown tremendously. As I study the Book of Mormon, I know that what I am reading happened, that the prophets are real and that they struggled and endured with faith, I know that the Book of Mormon is true. I am the happiest in my life when I am living the gospel the best I can. I love my Heavenly Father and I love Jesus Christ, who died for us and lived again, that we could do the same. I am so thankful for my opportunity, and true blessing, to be a member of this church.

How I live my faith

I love participating in my ward! I have held a few callings ever since I turned 12. I have served as Young Women's Class Secretary and Young Women's Class President, where I had the great opportunity to humbly serve and teach the other girls in my ward, ranging from age 12 to 18. They are such great young women! I also had the privilege to serve as a Girl's Camp Director, where I helped to plan the annual camping trip for the girls in Young Women's. Another calling I held was Family Home Evening co-chair in my single's ward at college. I planned activities for a small group of students in my ward every Monday where we could get together, have a spiritual thought discussed, then get to know each other by playing a game or going somewhere fun. I am currently serving as a teacher for the 5 and 6 year olds in my ward and it is quite different from anything else I've done! They are the sweetest yet craziest bunch of kids, but I am the luckiest person to be able to teach them!
