Hi I'm Maggie

I love art, literature, baking, and learning and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student and undecided on a major, but I am taking a break for a year and a half to serve a church mission. I am the second of six children, so a lot of my time is spent being a big sister. I love creating all forms of art with paint, charcoal, pencil, etc. I am a bit of a geek, which is in large part because of my family; I love to learn new things and I also love the geek aspect of popular culture. I enjoy baking and decorating cakes and I think one of the best feelings comes from watching someone enjoy the food you made for them. I also enjoy reading and writing in my free time.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a part of this church because it brings me peace and happiness. There are times in my life when I may not feel at peace or be happy, but as I turn to my Savior and follow the teachings of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, I am comforted and guided to a better mental, emotional, and physical state. I have been supported in my trials, I have been blessed with extraordinary blessings, and I have gained much knowledge because of my membership in this church and obedience to its teachings. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I have prayed and listened for inspiration from my Father in Heaven, and through His Spirit, I have gained answers and a confirmation that this Gospel is full, complete, and true. I am a Mormon because I know that this church is the greatest source of truth on the Earth.

How I live my faith

Prior to going on my mission, I am teaching 7- and 8-year-olds in my congregation at home. I will be serving a mission in California soon, and helping to serve and teach the people there.
