Hi I'm Marissa

I've grown up in Utah. I love to explore and adventure in the mountains. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I enjoy the great outdoors! Anything that has to do with that, I'm there! I love adventure and trying new things. Some of my favorite hobbies are running, camping, singing, playing the piano, riding horses, boating, reading, and hiking. I went to college for a year after high school and now I'm taking a quick break ;) to serve a mission! I love spending time with my friends and family. I love to try new things and learn about the world around me.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into an LDS family and I've grown up in the church. I've always gone to church and participated in church events, but it wasn't until I received my patriarchal blessing and later my mission call that I've truly seen the marvelous works of this church and His gospel. My testimony is strengthened everyday by the faithfulness and example of my family and by the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon and words of our prophet, Thomas S. Monson and his counselors and apostles. I've chosen to be a member of His church because I have come to know it to be the only true church on this Earth in these latter days. I've chosen to be a member because it strengthens me as a person. It helps me to become more like His son, Jesus Christ. I've chosen to be a member because I know that by being one, I can return to my Heavenly Father again if I keep his commandments and hold true to the covenants I've made in his Holy Temple.

How I live my faith

I love going to church and learning about this wondrous gospel! I recently was released in primary (the little kids) as the teacher of the 11 year olds. I loved every minute of teaching those cute kids! I now go to the young single adult ward in my stake and will continue to attend the meetings there until I leave on my mission! I also had the opportunity to be an assistant camp director for the young women's camp for my ward and stake. We had a blast going on hikes, getting the girls certified, and bearing our testimonies of the importance of the values the young women's association testifies of.
