Hi I'm Dillon

I'm from Tooele Utah, I restore cars and motorcycles, I love hardcore/punk music, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

After 7 years of inactivity I finally found peace through the loving atonement of Jesus Christ. I'm far from a perfect man and still have so much to learn, but I see now that with the help of our Lord and Savior I can do hard things and I can feel true happiness and freedom. I am now currently living in Utah, and preparing to serve a mission. I restore and build custom classic cars and motorcycles. I love the outdoors, and adventures and really enjoy getting to know new people and just talking.

Why I am a Mormon

Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us, to give light to them who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace. (Luke: 1 78-79) The missionaries sent that to me as I was taking their discussions. It would be some time before it changed my life. I was stubborn and not ready to give up my "freedoms" to do what I pleased, but the road of pride is not much of a road at all, but more of a wandering field, grabbing onto anything that makes you feel justified in your actions. I needed light, I just didn't realize it till I was truly sitting alone in darkness. I had gone every route but the route that lead to the church, even after the missionary discussions I still found ways to ignore that little feeling inside. After my own pride and bad decisions, eventually pressed me to my lowest point, I gave in to the will of our Lord. I finally saw for the first time all that he has done to free me from my struggles. That scripture finally had deeper meaning to me. It is through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited me. It is through his tender mercy that I have the opportunity to begin again. It is through his tender mercy that I have found peace. It is through his tender mercy that I am even alive today. God has done everything for me. Being Mormon is the very least I can do to show my appreciation for one who has given so much. I know this is his teachings. I know this is his church. I am truly grateful for all I have learned and for all he has done for me.

How I live my faith

I always strive to attend church regularly, and read and pray every night. No one is perfect, but striving to live these small acts has changed my life tremendously! I have also carried out callings in my ward that have helped build my faith and even gave me a sense of purpose to keep going and keep striving. In the past I served as a Sunday school teacher for just over a year, teaching 14 year olds. I am now currently a ward missionary and a camp director for the young men. I love my callings, and though in my eyes there are many others who may do them better, I feel a sense of purpose in knowing that God chose me. I love my ward and I especially love the youth and those who are striving to learn more.
