Hi I'm Cassandra Kapuniai

I've lived in Alaska all my life and am preparing to serve a Mission in the Provo, Utah area, Spanish speaking. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I plan on serving a mission this October, in the Provo, Utah area, Spanish speaking. I love being active and out in nature. For example, I played volleyball and soccer all through highschool and middle school, Basketball from middle school throughout most of highschool and did a year of track at the same time as my soccer season my Junior year. I love hiking as well as reading, and writing. I had the chance to be in yearbook all through highschool and be my class' president.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a member of this church just makes complete sense to me. I am able to have happiness as I serve others, spend time with my family, have knowledge my family can be eternal, repent of wrongs I do each day and communicate with my Heavenly Father either by reading the scriptures or in prayer. As a Mormon you fully participate and reap the blessings form doing so. The church leaders help guide us and teach us what is good, better and best. I'm a Mormon because I believe and have seen the blessings of following the word of wisdom, paying tithing, and serving others. We also have the opportunity to enter into the Lords Temple which is such a glorious and sacred thing. I wasn't always steady in coming to church in my youth, but as I have and I have gained a string testimony I couldn't go back. I love the community of the church and the love and support from it. Ultimately I am a Mormon because i have learned of the eternal blessings and plan in store for each of Heavenly Fathers children if we are baptized, follow the commandments, serve others and endure to the end.

How I live my faith

As I was in YOung Women's I had the opportunity to serve as the Mia Maid and Laurels class president, helping me to be more compassionate and understanding of those around me. I'm always willing to help in other classes such as Primary and Sunday school, and prepared to give a talk in Sacrament.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Cassandra Kapuniai
As a Mormon our lifestyle is very I guess I would say "normal", though we do have our differences. We are highly active in our community, very family oriented, highly involved in the church, and strive to be better each day. Small differences may be we don't partake of alchohalic substances, drugs of any kind, we obstain from coffee, getting tattoos or excessive piercings. We dress more conservative and modest and try and uphold ourselves that way as well. Although these are differences I think of off the top of my head they aren't "rules" that we MUST live by in the church. They are simply choices and standards we choose to follow because of our faith and obedience to the Lord's teachings and the counsel given by modern day prophets. Show more Show less
