Hi I'm Alex Simper

I play the Tuba, I enjoy videography and what goes into making videos and movies, and I am also interested in one day being a cop.

About Me

I was born in St. George, Utah, though my father was serving in the US Navy and we were stationed in Georgia. We lived in several places and when my dad got out we lived in New Mexico for a few years. when I was 10 we moved here to Tennessee and have lived here for the last 8 years and is now the place I call "Home". I took 8 years of band in middle and high school the first 5 I played Trumpet and the last 3 I played Tuba (I ended as section leader). Football is a big thing here down south and through it I was able to experience marching band, on of my favorite things. Once I got to high school I was introduced to the broadcasting program of which only 2 other schools had a program like it. I fell in love with it on day one. I began to anchor for the local television station and was able to move up to the student director position. I am now preparing to serve a mission for the church, and I am very excited.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a member all my life, though for a while I did not like going to church because I felt it was my parents choice and not mine. through the teachings of my Young Men leaders and through prayer I came to realize that the church is not only something that I needed, but something that needed me. through these means, I came to realize that the church is true, and that there is a gospel here on earth, and that the teachings of the Book of Mormon are true.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by example mostly through kindness in my work. I try to go through my day with a smile to help others. I also like sharing the gospel with my friends when opportunities arise.
