Hi I'm Ondine

I'm a singer, a paint-by-numberer, an actress, a librarian, an oldest sibling, a missionary, and I'm a mormon.

About Me

I have been blessed with one of the awesomest / weirdest names ever. "Ondine" gets mispronounced incorrectly all the time so let me help you out a little: On-deen. It rhymes with bean. Okay! So I am 19 years old and I have lived in Utah all my life. I am the oldest of 6 kids and nearly a month ago I was called on a mission. I just finished my first year of college and it was the best thing that ever happened to me. I love to sing (right now I'm concentrating on opera but I love musical theater as well) and nothing brings me more joy than performing. Though I might come off as extremely social and out there, by the end of the day all I want is to do is quietly paint. I'm a secret introvert I guess. If I could go anywhere in the world...ummm, well to be honest anywhere is awesome. I have been LDS my entire life and until recently I had no idea how impactful this gospel would be to me. My testimony has grown exponentially over the last few months and I owe it to expressing God through my personal gifts and relationships. God is always present when there's love. God is love, and love is God. Thank you for reading!

Why I am a Mormon

Well, of course I was born into this gospel. I had it easy. But, I didn't become a complete member (meaning my mind, heart, and soul were 100 percent "in it") until my first year of college. I sort of went through the motions when I was younger but breaking away and establishing my own opinion about Christ and Heavenly Father really showed me what this gospel was about. It is so important to take personal time to discover what you really believe; not just about God but who you are and why you're here on this earth. Trusting yourself and realizing your infinite worth will show you how much God loves you. He is such a caring individual who wants nothing more than for you to be TRULY happy. I personally believe that being truly happy means you've gotten to the point where you've learned to love yourself enough to properly break away and fully commit to serving someone else. That is why in the LDS church marriage in the Temple is such a priority. Through love of God and self we can become like him and love others. I know this to be true and it has guided me over these last few months. I love my savior and his perfect gospel. In the name of his sacred name, Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

The first calling I ever had was a lesson teacher. I would prepare lessons to share with my fellow members and we would have discussions based on the topic I prepared the lesson on. It was probably my favorite calling. It really prepared me for my future mission too. I have also been an activities co-chair which was pretty time consuming but we were able to provide so many fun opportunities for the ward. At the moment I am a nursery worker which has been WONDERFUL. When I was a younger teenager, toddlers didn't really click with me but for some reason they're now the light of my Sunday. I love, love, love little children; they make the simplest things the most important which has really increased my overall gratitude for the blessings in my life.
