Hi I'm Jacob

I grew up in Arizona. I love running, biking and long boarding. I find joy out of serving others. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have been constantly moving since I was a child. I took up running while I was in elementary school and ran all through high school. That experience taught me about my personal endurance and how I can work through hard things. I love being outside, even while living in the hot desert!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a family who were all members of the Mormon faith. At the age of 8 years old, I was baptized by my father with a simple testimony that my young mind understood. I continued to grow and learn in my youth having experiences that made my testimony stronger. I had the opportunity to visit Nauvoo with my young men's group and visit the place where Joseph Smith was martyred. I prayed to know that he was a prophet of God and had an overwhelming answer that he was and that the Book of Mormon testifies of Christ. This changed my life and testified of the truthfulness of the gospel. I have also stood in the presence of our living prophet during a priesthood session and know that he is our current prophet of God. I continue to have experiences that help me grow my testimony. I love the Savior and know he knows me and loves me.

How I live my faith

I learned when I was a youth in the Boy Scout organization that serving other was a beneficial experience. I am constantly looking for opportunities to serve others. From mowing the yard for a neighbor to helping a mother load her groceries in her car, it can be a simple act serving people around us. Christ taught us to love others and I do that by serving.
