Hi I'm Landon Chappell

I grew up in small town Utah. I went to a high school of 150 kids, I love basketball, baseball, and hunting. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am from a county of about 2500 people. Everyone knows everyone, and everyone is your friend. I played baseball, basketball, and ran track at my high school. My baseball team won the state championship my junior year and I was the winning pitcher. I love the outdoors. Hunting and fishing are a huge part of who I am. I am a huge Golden State Warriors fan, and I love watching basketball. I was raised on a farm so I was taught from an early age how to work hard and really get my hands dirty. My dad taught me how important working hard is and I have carried that lesson with me my entire life. I also love riding motorcycles. I have a trials bike that is so much fun to take down on the desert. My goals in life are to serve a worthy mission, get married in the temple, and get a good job. My dream is to become a radiologist, a doctor who studies X-rays and MRIs.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love this gospel with all of my heart. Growing up in the church is a lot different than being converted. It presents different challenges, and it forces you to build your own testimony instead of relying on your parents or other family members. My love for my Savior exceeds every other thing on this earth. I owe Him everything, and for that I will be eternally indebted to Him. This gospel is everything to me, and I hope and pray that whoever reads this will feel of his love too. I know that Jesus Christ suffered and died for me and everyone else. I know that He rose again and lives today. His Atonement is real and powerful. I have felt of its power in my own life and I testify that it is truly God's greatest gift to us. This gospel is the most beautiful thing on the earth today, and I know that Heavenly Father's love is sufficient for all who are simply willing to come unto Him.

How I live my faith

I have been blessed to grow up in a community where most people are a member of the LDS church. Most of my friends have been very good examples to me an have pushed me to better myself through the gospel. I have held several leadership positions in my ward, and I have served on our school's seminary council. My family is also a great influence on me. My parents have always taught me to love and cherish the gospel, and they are the reason that i have so much love for the church. I am an Eagle Scout, and that has helped me to provide a lot of service in the community. The scouting program has helped me so much and has taught me a lot about being the best person that I can be. I live my faith by striving constantly to help other people around me to reach their highest potential.
