Hi I'm Cynthia

I am an identical twin. I love to write both fictional stories and a daily journal. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an identical twin. I know that seems random to say, but it's something I am very proud to say, it's also something I have struggled with in the past. Although my sister and I are best friends, there was a point when I started to resent being an identical twin. This frustration came from a High school teacher whom didn't care to find any way of telling my sister and I apart, rather than looking at the seating chart she had, or trying to find differences in our looks, she would always pair us together and have us answer questions at the same time. It made me feel as though I was somehow attached to my sister, as if we were supposed to be one person. My sister never seemed to have a problem with this, she somehow knew she was an individual with her own self worth, and I was angry that I didn't have this same knowledge. I turned to my Heavenly Father for help, I began praying asking him to make the teacher see that my sister and I were not the same person. But instead, Heavenly Father helped me to see the differences in my sister and me. The first thing I noticed was that I kept a journal, she didn't. Soon I was able to find how different we really were, my sister enjoyed painting nails and I enjoyed writing, my sister preferred dusting over vacuuming and I was the opposite, she likes purple and I like pink, the list goes on. I now know that I am an individual with my own self worth, and being an identical twin is just another part of my individual attributes.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because this Gospel is true. I don't know how else to put it. I've found so much peace and joy by following what the Lord has asked of me. I don't know how I could find more happiness than I can here. This Gospel brings me purpose and joy, I am able to live my religion daily, I am able to find the hand of God in my life, in the small blessings and the big blessing, in my daily trials I am able to find a comfort that my Heavenly Father is there and helping me along my path back to him.

How I live my faith

Daily prayer, daily scripture reading, attending Church on Sunday and other weekly activities, spending time with my friends and family. It's a small list, but it brings me closer to my Heavenly Father and Savior, Jesus Christ, and brings me closer to those I love.
