Hi I'm Michaela

I'm from a military family. I'm a college student studying Public Health. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I moved around a lot as a kid. I spent my younger years in California, Maryland, Idaho, Virginia and Texas. I'm enrolled at a University in Utah, studying Public Health. I've deferred for 18 months to serve a full time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Nampa, Idaho. I enjoy reading (mostly Brandon Sanderson or cheesy romances), playing with my dog (an almost 3yo golden/lab rescue), and hammocking with my sister whenever the weather and classwork permits.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a mormon family. I learned the doctrines and was familiar with its teachings. I realized I really did believe in the Gospel of Jesus Christ when I struggled with generalized anxiety and depression in my first year of college and found reprieve only in my effort to become like Christ. I know that our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ know me perfectly as an individual and love me through all my mistakes and weaknesses. I know that we have been given living prophets and the words of prophets of old to guide us through the trials of life. I know I can live again with God and be forgiven of my sins through Christ's Atonement.

How I live my faith

I have served in the church by teaching others how to work on family history, reaching out to members in need of friendship or aid and planning activities. I visit a few sisters in my ward monthly to share a short message and show my love to them. I LOVE studying Christ's life to better learn to come unto Him by becoming like Him.
