Hi I'm Corwin Lewis

I grew up in Arizona. I now live in Oregon. I just recently retired. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My wife and I are the parents of 14 children. I was a tax accountant for 40 years and have recently retired. In addition to my career in accounting and my church activities, I have been active in Boy Scouting and Rotary International. This year (2017) my wife and I will begin serving a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Zambia.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe with all of my heart that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the Church of Jesus Christ restored to the earth in these latter days. I have seen the "fruits" of the gospel of Jesus Christ as taught in the Mormon Church: it changes peoples lives and brings peace and joy. When the principles taught are lived, there is contentment and happiness. The teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are focused on the atonement of the Lord Jesus Christ. And it is clearly through the atonement of Christ that all mankind may be saved by obedience to His gospel. I know that the Book of Mormon Another testament of Jesus Christ is true. I know that the Lord Jesus Christ has called apostles and prophets to lead His Church in these last days prior to His return to the earth. The Holy Ghost has borne witness to my soul of the truth of these things. I know they are true.

How I live my faith

I attend church each Sunday and have served in many callings. Most recently I served as a Seminary teacher, which means that I taught an early-morning scripture study class attended by the high school students in our area.
