Hi I'm Liz

I'm from New York. I'm learning Arabic. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student studying Middle Eastern Studies and Arabic. In high school, I was a rower, and now I coach rowing. I also love singing, spending time with my friends, and traveling.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised Mormon, but I think there comes a point in every person's life where the religion they've been taught either becomes real for them or it doesn't. For me, that point came when I was about sixteen. I had been exposed to lots of different religious traditions growing up, because my community was very diverse, and I found that I couldn't find the spirit that I felt at my LDS church anywhere else. For me, my testimony was solidified when I saw the way my life was blessed by reading the scriptures and obeying the commandments. I know that in order to receive a confirmation of the truth of the gospel, you have to exercise faith and be obedient first.

How I live my faith

In the past, I've served as a leader in the youth organization, and now I help teach children in Primary on Sundays.
