Hi I'm Kirk

I study martial arts. I love books and stories. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy practicing martial arts. It started because I needed a hobby to keep me active and I did not like competitive sports. In this program, the only person to compete with is me. Now it is a way to keep me focused on improving myself. For fun, and an excuse to spend time with friends, I like to play Dungeons and Dragons. I enjoy the creativity it allows and story making it encourages. I love books and stories. Hearing of people's lives and experiences or finding a good novel are passions of mine. My love of captivating stories that teach as well as entertain is what makes me want to be an author.

Why I am a Mormon

This church is true. Nothing else has been able to answer so many of my questions. This is the only church to have the fullness of the gospel. I mean that it is the only one that is complete, that uses every teaching and example that Jesus Christ gave us during His earthly ministry. It answers every question and reveals all of God's plan for us. Through this church, I have learned to feel God's love and to listen for His answers to my prayers. And every prayer has been answered. I have felt the Holy Ghost testify that the Book of Mormon is true, that Joseph Smith is a true prophet who was called by God to restore His truth to the earth, that this church is that truth.

How I live my faith

I try to give the highest priority to the people in my life. Nothing is more important than the children of God. He loves us so much that He sent His Only Begotten Son to die for us. So nothing is more important than helping others. To return to our Heavenly Father is the ultimate goal of this life. I want to help people find the truth that will lead us back to Him. I know that regular church attendance and study are little things that make a huge difference in our lives. And I am always trying to improve myself, trying to live the way our Father in Heaven wants me to.
