Hi I'm Nancee

"I grew up in California, have raised 8 pretty amazing kids and I'm a Mormon."

About Me

I grew up mostly in Southern California spending as much time as I could at the beach, but have lived in Texas for the last 26 years. I am a mother of eight amazing children and a grandmother to seventeen (and growing) of the cutest and brightest grandchildren. I enjoy working with my hands, knitting, weaving, quilting, making soap, are just of few of the things I like to do. I am also a backyard beekeeper. I do love the sweet rewards of that hobby! I have tons of energy and love the outdoors. I am married to a wonderful man who lets me be me and lets me soar.

Why I am a Mormon

The Gospel of Jesus Christ has brought more happiness in my life and helped me to become a better person. I was brought up a member of another faith and the scriptures were always interpreted for me. I felt that I wasn't my job to try to understand them. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints asked me to read the Scriptures and find out for myself what I believe. When I sat down with the Missionaries and started reading the Book of Mormon, along with my Bible, so many things that I didn't understand became clear to me and made sense. I prayed or guidance and knew that the principles I was learning and being taught were true. Studying things out and thinking for myself internalized that Jesus Christ truly is my Savior and Redeemer . He is not someone that I hear about on Sunday, He is someone I have a personal relationship with. I now know that my Savior loves me and knows me personally. He is with me during good times and not so good times, but with Him all things are bearable and He will always be here for me. I am so fortunate and blessed to have the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in my life. I look back and see that as I walked down the path to His restored gospel, He has been with me all the way.

How I live my faith

I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ and try to follow my Saviors example in all I do. I have worked with Young Single Adults, children, I have been the president of the women's organization of my church, and have volunteered working in my community. My husband and I are very excited to be going on a full time mission to Europe for two years.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Nancee
I believe that the most important relationships we have in this life is God our Father, Our Savior Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost and our families. I just can't believe that my Father in Heaven would separate me from the one thing that is most dear to me, my family. I know that families are eternal and when we leave this earth it is only a time issue because I know we will be reunited and together again. Show more Show less
