Hi I'm Marissa

I'm from Idaho, and yes I love potatoes! I love to sing and play the guitar and ukulele. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love the arts and I've been studying Art Education in college. I'm also really in to choir and have been in quite a few. I love doing service and leadership oriented things, and have had a couple of opportunities to be a counselor in a youth conference, and a mentor at a conference hosted by the college I go to. Both amazing experiences and I would do anything like that again in a heartbeat!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because this is Jesus Christ's church on the earth today, the same church that existed when Christ was on the earth. I've never had the heavens opened to me and had choruses of angels sing to me, but I have learned piece by piece and through the power of the Holy Ghost that the Book of Mormon is true, that Joseph Smith did in fact translate it by power given to him from God. I know that God has given us apostles and prophets that work under His direction to lead and guide us, that are on this earth today. I'm a Mormon because I love my savior Jesus Christ, and this is the only church that is directed by Him and I know that to be true with my whole heart and soul!

How I live my faith

I've had the opportunity to do a lot in the church. I've helped plan ward socials, taught Sunday school, and been on dance committees! Overall I've been extremely fortunate to be able to serve those around me in small and simple ways, which I believe can be the most impactful form of service.
