Hi I'm Jacob

I was born in St. George, I`m a musician and a rugby, and I`m a mormon

About Me

I'm 18 and just graduated High School. I have been called to serve in the Nagoya, Japan mission and Wil learn to speak the Japanese language. I became an all-state musician and sat as the first chair percussionist in my school and my region. I also served as a Drum Captain and a Jazz drummer in my school as well. I sat on a lot of clubs as a leader including President of the sophomore mentoring program and the vice president to the Washington County Youth Coalition drug prevention group. I have worked for two separate restaurants both as a busser and a supervisor. I played rugby on a nationally ranked high school rugby team for 4 years as a Lock and a Breakaway.

Why I am a Mormon

I have become a member thanks to my older brothers examples and continue to be a member due to the fact that I love the feelings I encounter and the security I have within this gospel. I know the things that are taught in this gospel are true and reliable. These things, doctrine, scripture can not be broken by time, people or the world and there is a great comfort in this gospel. Knowing of the truthfulness and reliability of the things taught are what keep me a Mormon and is what will keep me a Mormon for years to come.

How I live my faith

As I have participated in my church youth activities and meetings I have been placed at many leadership positions to plan youth activities and help s term youth in an uplifting manner. I have also served as a home teacher going to specific families to teach and to aid them in any manner they see fitting and appropriate. My next and biggest calling to serve a Full-time mission in Nagoya Japan. There I will live serve and teach to help bring others unto the gospel. I will serve in this capacity for 2 years leaving my friends and familyto sacrifice and serve for the uplifting and helping of the Japanese people. Everyday i try to serve and help all thosein need that i can serve in capacity, because I am trying to love everyone as I have been taught to do.
