Hi I'm Heston

I was born and raised in Scio Oregon. I live on a 200 acre ranch. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I live in a small rural town in Oregon. I come from a family of 13. I am the 7th child. I like to be active and enjoy participating in many sports, both formally and informally, whenever I can. I also love water sports and swimming.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a very active Mormon family and I have always had the opportunity since I was little to be immersed in the gospel. When I was little I had amazing parents who I could rely on both temporally and spiritually and who were wonderful teachers for me. They taught me much about the gospel and how one needs to gain a testimony of their own if they want to be strong in the gospel. From lessons taught to me like this one I decided to try and learn whether or not what I had been taught was true on my own. I decided to read the scriptures and pray daily. Constantly striving to learn from what I was being taught in church and at home and make myself a better person allowed me to gain my own personal testimony for myself. From these experiences I have received answers to prayers and through the spirit I know that this is the true church of Jesus Christ restored upon the Earth and that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being active at church, reading the scriptures, praying and sharing my testimony. This has led me to serve a full time mission in the Mexico Ciudad Obregon Mission.

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Heston
Mormons absolutely believe that the Bible is Holy Scripture and the word of God. We do believe, along with the Bible that The Book of Mormon is also Holy Scripture and the word of God. This does not however take away from Bible but simply adds to the amount of knowledge we have about God and the Gospel. Show more Show less
