Hi I'm Jaden

I was born in the sweltering heat of Arizona, I love to swim, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of four boys in my family and have two wonderful, loving parents. But as a result of being the oldest, I am also the guinea pig. And I love it! Being the oldest has meant that I set a good example for my younger brothers and always strive to do my best in everything I do. Without a doubt, the oldest is held to a higher standard than their siblings. This because of the example they have to set. As the oldest sibling, i have been blessed with wonderful opportunities to assist and teach my brothers through my experiences and example. I am very friendly and enjoy getting to know others. From kindergarten through high school, I have attended many different schools, all full of new people. Moving from school to school forced me to open myself up, reach out to others, and become the social, friendly person I have become. I love swimming. Always have since I was young. Since then, I have played a wide variety of sports. And after trying all of them, I came back to swimming. I was a part of my high school swim team during the four years I attended and was able to be the team's captain as a senior. Being apart of the team allowed me to strengthen others as well as myself. Before leaving on a mission, I worked as a lifeguard and a waiter at a local restaurant. Both of these experiences were wonderful and allowed me to apply communication skills, time management skills, and prioritization. I am so grateful for this opportunity to serve a mission for the lord

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know of its truth. I love it and live it everyday of my life. It has blessed my life tremendously in ways I can't even count. I'm not sure where I would be without the restored gospel and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It has made me who I am, and because of it, I know that I can one day return and live with Heavenly Father, his son Jesus Christ, and my family. I love the gospel and all it has done for me. I am so excited to be able to share this with others so that they too can have it in their lives and be blessed as a result. This is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing what's right, and being a good example to others. I know that sounds simple, but it is so true. I was very fortunate to be brought up in a family with parents who brought me up in the church, taught me right from wrong and wanted the best for me. As I grew up, I always tried my best to do what my parents told me. But sometimes that didn't happen. After learning right from wrong, and seeing the consequences of my decisions, I came to know for myself that I would strive to always do what's right. Similarly, when my parents gave me the decision to go to church, I knew that I wanted to go. If I didn't go, I felt like there was something missing. From that point on, it was never a question. It was, "I am going to church". I live my faith through my fulfillment of church callings and responsibilities. Being to church early to help pass the sacrament as a deacon, help prepare as a teacher, and eventually bless as a priest. Having the priesthood has blessed me as I fulfill my priesthood responsibilities and better understand what that does for me, and for those I serve. Being a member of the church has been a huge blessing for me. The church has helped me develop a strong testimony of Jesus Christ, keep me on the straight and narrow, and ultimately be a better person.
