Hi I'm Romney Peterson

Hi I'm Romney Peterson. I grew up in Salt Lake City, UT and was born into the church. I played football and rugby in high school.

About Me

I was born and raised in Salt Lake City and have lived there my whole life. I went to Olympus High School and played football and rugby there. I am going to the University of Utah after my mission. I have a brother and a sister, and huge extended families on each side. I like to travel, hunt, play basketball, and sketch.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was born into this church, that doesn't mean I haven't had my fair share of questions and even doubts at times. If anything, being born into the church has made me even more inquisitive about it. I am a Mormon because of the blessings and knowledge that comes from it. If you live according to the gospel and worthily, known and unknown blessings will be bestowed upon you. Also being an active member of the church gives you a knowledge and life perspective relatively few other people in the world know about. I also am a Mormon because it values the family very highly and because it promotes and teaches a healthy, active, and moral lifestyle. And most importantly, I am a Mormon because of the Atonement, repentance, and free-agency. Knowing that there are second-chances and that not everyone is perfect and that that is OK.

How I live my faith

I have always been an active member of the church. I was baptized and confirmed at 8, got the Aaronic priesthood at 12, and got the Melchezidek priesthood at 18. I enjoyed doing Boy Scouts through the church and got my Eagle Scout. I would participate in youth activities as often as I could. I love my ward family and have had many great leaders throughout the years.
