Hi I'm Caleb Walker

"I grew up in Lehi. I have six siblings. I'm a national youth storyteller. I love to draw, sing and visit people. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to draw and spend lots of my free time sketching and painting. I can often be found singing my heart out as I work on my latest art project. In high school, I participated in student government and I love people, any chance I get to meet someone new is like Christmas early. I work at a library and I love to write stories and am an active participant in storytelling festivals. I love sharing my memories and experiences with others. I grew up on an apple orchard driving and I love driving around on golf carts and tending for the trees. This style of life has taught me the meaning of hard work and sticking to things. I am the oldest of six children 2 boys 4 girls with one on the way. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and am preparing to serve a full time mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe in being happy, my great grandpa a World War II veteran, always said, "It’s better to be happy then sad" this quote seems pretty simple but it is also very profound. We are all looking for happiness we would all rather be happy then sad. One of the biggest reasons I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, is because the gospel of Jesus Christ is the source of true and everlasting happiness. We have a loving Father in Heaven who created a plan called the plan of salvation so that we could all come and live with Him again. He knew that we would make mistakes so he provided a Savior for us, named Jesus Christ ,who would give us a gift called the atonement so when we make mistakes we can repent and become clean again, and return to the presence of our Father in heaven. We have scriptures called the Book of Mormon another testament of Jesus Christ that works hand in hand with the Bible, and was restored by the prophet Joseph Smith. We have the priesthood the literal power of God on earth used to bless people and families. We have temples where we can officiate in ordinances and be sealed with our families together forever.

How I live my faith

As a member of the church I have had the opportunity to participate in assignments from the church. One of these assignments was to teach people about family history and help them find names to bring to the temple. I love the sweet spirit that comes when we participate in the Lords holy work of bringing family's together forever in the house of The Lord. I also plan and hold activity's for 26 young boys around my age every Tuesday night. Some examples of these activities would be participating in service or working on earning merit badges in the scouting program. Yearly I participate in my local youth basketball tournament. Every month me and my companion go home teaching, visiting sweet families in my neighborhood, we offer service and help them with anything they may be struggling with. I also participate in my community and country by voting in elections and I served a year on the city's youth council.
