Hi I'm Elder Colton Hibbert

I am a Mormon and currently a missionary, serving a full-time mission in the Fiji Suva mission.

About Me

I am an 18 year old kid from Flagstaff, Arizona and just got called to serve a two-year mission in Suva, Fiji. In high school, I was first chair in the highest Guitar Performance Ensemble class, Co-Captain of the Varsity Basketball team, and was voted Best Musician of my Senior class. I have been a Mormon my entire life.

Why I am a Mormon

Yes, I was born and raised in the Mormon religion, but I have come to gain a testimony of it for myself. Most of my closest friends are in fact not Mormon, and being surrounded by others with various religions of all kinds (ranging from standard Christian to Atheist) has proven to me time and time again that the Mormon church is in fact the true church. The power of prayer and the atonement have helped me overcome the toughest trials of my life, including the death of loved ones, both by natural causes and by suicide, emotional and cyberbullying at school, and many of my deepest insecurities. It helps me to know that there is always someone out there who knows what I'm going through and is willing to listen and help me.

How I live my faith

I have served in various leadership positions in my ward, including 2nd Counselor of the Deacon's Quorum, President of the Teacher's Quorum, and First Assistant in the Priest's Quorum (Each 'Quorum' correlates to a specific age group of young men, Deacon=12-14 yrs, Teacher=14-16 yrs, Priest=16-18 yrs). I help bless and pass the sacrament, as well as deliver the sacrament to an elderly couple who cannot make it to church due to their health on occasion. I also do hometeaching to two families.
