Hi I'm Marilyn

I am from sunny California and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife, mother of five, and grandmother of 19. I love spending time with my family. I am a retired high school teacher. I have had a life long passion for teaching. Interesting that my husband and three of my children have also been teachers. I taught history and sociology. I have also had the opportunity to teach the youth at church and this has brought me much satisfaction, because I have been able to share my testimony with them. When I am not spending time with my family or teaching I enjoy cycling. It is at this time I learn to appreciate Heavenly Father's beautiful creations.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because this religion answers those four universal questions: "Whom am I?, Where did I come from?, Why am I here?, and Where am I going?" Going to church has helped teach me about a loving Heavenly Father. I have learned how to pray and trust in Him. He is my friend. I want to do my best to serve Him and those around me that they may also grow to love Him as I do.

How I live my faith

Through the years I have had numerous opportunities to teach and plan activities for the youth at church. This has taken a tremendous amount of time and energy, but has been most rewarding. I have realized as I have served that Heavenly Father gives us strength and inspiration to fulfill our responsibilities. In more recent years I have been able to teach adults the doctrine of Jesus Christ from the Bible, Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, and Pearl of Great Price.
