Hi I'm Michael

I grew up traveling all over the world. I am a Mormon. I enjoy playing musical instruments.

About Me

I am the middle of three children. I have an older sister and a younger brother. I was born in Utah and have moved 15 different times due to my father being in the Air Force. I have played various sports such as soccer, football, softball and basketball with my school and local teams. I was engaged in my school and clubs such as JROTC, and Swing Club. I have held leadership positions such as the Class President and the Battalion Executive Officer during my high school years. I enjoy hiking and playing musical instruments such as trumpet, piano and guitar. My parents divorced when I was twelve years old, and have both remarried, but my dad has recently had a second divorce after a long time of trial. I am currently preparing to serve a mission in St. George Utah, and am excited to serve.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born with parents who were members of the church, though my mother was a convert. I went to church my whole life as a regular part of my week, not fully understanding what it was. It seemed like a history class, until I finally began to understand the gospel and becoming involved in it. After my parents divorced, my mom and sister began to stop attending church, and while my brother and I lived with them, we did not attend as well. After a long time had passed, my brother and I moved back with my dad and it wasn't until then that I started to truly understand the power of the gospel and its teachings. I am a Mormon because I have come to know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true, and I know that we will be able to return to our Heavenly Father after we die through the plan that He has created for us, where our families will be able to be together forever. I have come to know these things through challenges, and enduring those challenges with faith, knowing that our Heavenly Father knows all things, and that he is able to help us through anything.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to be an example wherever I go. I know that whenever I am doing something, those around me can see and I will always make some kind of impression. To show that I am a follower of Jesus Christ and that I am a member of His church, I try to represent Him in the best way I can both in public and in private by living the standards of the church, keeping the commandments, and striving to be the best I can in whatever circumstance. I also attend church meetings on Sunday and have attended activities with people my age such as camps and athletic competitions. By going to these events, and through my private study, I am able to better understand the things necessary in this life to become the man that our Heavenly Father wants me to be
