Hi I'm Louise Gustafson

I have lived in Germany, China and Africa, and 9 US states, had 8 children and 30 grandchildren. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have always been a teacher. I've taught piano for 40+ years, taught English and Graphic Arts and started an Art Literacy program for elementary schools. However, my greatest teaching joy is teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. No other doctrine, if lived as taught, promises so much in the way of true joy and happiness.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was expecting my first child, I realized I would have to teach that child a moral, ethical way to live on this earth. Though I had been a member all my life, I suddenly realized that I truly believed that living the gospel of Jesus Christ as taught in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints promised the most joy and happiness. Of course I realized that I could not be perfect in living and teaching every commandment and precept, but I believed then and believe now that the gospel of Jesus Christ as taught by the LDS church offers the only hope for myself and my family to return to our Father in Heaven.

How I live my faith

I have served in many positions in my church, some administrative, some music, some teaching and some compassionate care. I have served my community through committees, panels, workshops and outreach programs. Every activity - whether for church, self or community - is an opportunity to serve all those I love. Since being a Mormon means we are all brothers and sisters, since we are all children of our Father in Heaven, being a Mormon means serving ALL people - everyone one in my Heavenly Father's family! After all, when we are in the service of our fellow beings, we are only in the service of our God.
