Hi I'm Rob Sammons

I grew up in Texas, in a family of 13, and I'm a mormon.

About Me

I'm a recently graduated High School student. My family has moved around a ton. I was born in New Jersey and lived there until I was about 1, then my family moved to Texas. Where I lived in different cities all throughout that state for about 15 years, until we moved to Provo, UT in 2015.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know it's true. A lot of times in this church you will hear about what's called "a seed being planted" referring to the first time one truly started believing in God. My seed wasn't planted until I was 18. It came from getting on my knees and talking to God, just as Joseph Smith did, I asked God to give me wisdom when I needed it most, and he did not leave me hanging. However, that was just the beginning, since that moment in prayer, I have had so many experiences that have led me to truly believe in God, to believe that Jesus Christ was the savior of all the world, and to believe that Joseph Smith was a good man, who truly was a prophet of God on the earth in these latter days. I know that anyone who speaks to God in faithful prayer will have their prayer answered.

How I live my faith

I live my faith just as most other people do. Living in Texas and Utah it has been really easy to openly live my faith because of the large amount of Christians in both areas. Going to church every Sunday is great, but the most important part about being a Christian and a Mormon is acting on what you profess to believe. Obviously I'm not perfect, but in my life I have found as long as I'm trying to do my best, God will pick up a lot of my slack.
