Hi I'm Ashley

I grew up in California. I lived in Germany. I got called to serve in the Missouri St Louis Mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in California, but at the age of 14, my family and I moved to Germany. It was very difficult to leave the place where I grew up and the friends that I made. I had just finished up my first year of high school and made friends that would last all throughout the years. I had no idea why we had to leave other than my dad getting a job promotion, but we all had a feeling that we needed to go. When we arrived it was a really big culture shock with the food, people, and places. We were only there for about a year because I wasn't getting the education I needed, but I later found out why we went. It wasn't for me or my family to just get the experience of living outside of the county, but it was for the lessons we had to learn there and the people there that changed me. The people in the church building we attended were in the military so they moved ever three or so years. It became a lifestyle for them and told us that the first six months are the hardest, but after that things would be fine. So now that is how I look at life. If I can get past the first six months, I can do anything that seems hard.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know the gospel of Christ to be true. There is no pin point in my life where I was all of the sudden converted to this gospel it was over time and my life experiences. I did have a turning point where I decided to change my out look on life and the people around me. I read the Book of Mormon and I knew it was true. I studied it in its fullest. There is no way to explain the feelings I have when ever I read the Book that was written for us in this day. I know this gospel is true and that Christ lives again. I know Joseph Smith was the one to bring about the restoration of the fullness of the gospel of Christ. I now that President Thomas S. Monson was called by God to be the Prophet on the Earth today.

How I live my faith

Throughout my time in the church, I have been in youth counsels, a Sunday school teacher, and have been recently called to serve a LDS mission in St. Louis Missouri.
