Hi I'm Mary

I'm a designer. I'm an artist. I'm an adventurer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just finished my first year at college and I'm headed out on a mission shortly (exciting!). I am the youngest of 7 kids. I've done theatre all my life and have recently branched into opera. I love spending time outdoors with friends and family, it's amazing how much fun simple playground games are (they never get old). I've played the celtic harp for 8 years now. I love to travel and take pictures. I have a bucket list, and I'm an adrenaline junky. I also do engineering (mechanical is the best).

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the gospel makes me happy. I ask a lot of questions, and I am encouraged to find answers here. Things make sense to me here, both logically and spiritually. I find purpose in life because of Christ and His Atonement. I've never had a big life changing moment where I knew that the church was true or that Joseph Smith really did see Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ or that the Book of Mormon is true, but my life has been full of little moments that have built up into what I call a background testimony; I cannot deny the truthfulness of this gospel nor the love that Christ and Heavenly Father have for me and all of us.

How I live my faith

I helped my sister teach her Sunday school class for the 5-year-old children, when I was in high school I helped plan youth dances and activities for our congregations in the Seneca area. I got a goldfish for my friend that I visit taught last semester at college. I like participating in the activities and inviting others to come, especially to institute activities because it's a great way to make friends and feel the spirit.
