Hi I'm Jake

I grew up in Salt Lake City. I love the mountains. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently serving in the Japan Tokyo South mission. I run long races in the mountains (ultramarathons). I love skiing, rock climbing, camping, hiking, running, traveling, skateboarding, biking, and really anything that involves moving my body and being active.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this gospel and have seen how it has blessed my family and all of those around me. I feel that the people that have this gospel in their lives have a light about them and always try to be kind and loving. I like the hope that this religion gives me and that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I am currently the first assistant to the bishop in my youth group of 16-18 years olds. This means that I help the bishop with any of his concerns or needs and essentially lead the group each Sunday. I am home teaching companions with the previous bishop and visit 3 families each month. Home teach is when two men go and visit families in the ward and share a message or simply provide assistance if it's needed.
