Hi I'm Seth Alonso

I grew up in Utah, playing soccer. I'm a missionary for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

About Me

I am 18 years old, and I have played soccer growing up, playing on a competitive team, also on a high school team. I love watching cartoons, and being outdoors. I want to become a dentist, and currently working as a dental assistant.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a fourth generation Mormon, and I was born into the church. I have had my immediate family stay close to the church. I have had my cousins, my dad, and grandparents all serve missions and they have shown me the importance of serving the lord. I know that this is the true gospel and that we do have living prophets on earth to guide us. I know that families are eternal and that my Heavenly father loves us all.

How I live my faith

I have been part of the young men's group that brings other youth my age to come together and just be around each others company. I have helped organize church dances and activities.

What is done with the tithing that Mormons pay?

Seth Alonso
Tithing is a law that we follow and it is how our church is funded. All members of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints contribute one tenth of their income. Tithing has been known since the Old Testament, which prophets, and members have followed. With paying tithing the lord promises that he will bless us and help us when paying out tithes. With the money that the members pay the church uses it to make temples, churches, and other buildings related to the church. It also helps with making scriptures, funding the missionary program and other important church functions. Show more Show less
