Hi I'm Julianne Kidd

Art is my passion! I'm an aspiring art teacher. I'm a lover of water colors, history, mountains, and big books. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a full time college student attending Utah State University, I just finished my freshman year of college and just changed my major to art education. Art is my passion, I love everything about art and I believe that art education is important in any student's academic career, and I ultimately hope to be a high school art teacher one day. I have a love of history and watching documentaries and reading a good historical novel is my ideal Friday night.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love the peace and happiness that being a Mormon gives me. I find comfort through knowing that I am a daughter of God. I find reassurance and hope for the future by knowing that God has a plan for me and that He knows me personally. My trials are able to be overcome because I have the help of my Savior and my Heavenly Father, I would never have been able to endure the hardships in my life without the love of my Savior and my Heavenly Father. I find peace as I draw upon the power of Christ and use the atonement to wash away my dumb mistakes, the atonement relieves many of my burdens and helps me to move past the mistakes I have made in my mortal life. This gospel brings me happiness as I live a Christ-like life and follow God's commandments, His commandments may seem peculiar to the world but the blessings that come from obeying God are endless. I feel complete happiness knowing that I belong to something greater and that I have a Heavenly Father who is waiting for me to return to him.

How I live my faith

It is so important to me that I attend my church meetings every week, there I can partake of the sacrament, learn more of Christ's doctrine, and meet with my friends. My church meetings give me a spiritual boost or pick-me-up to carry me throughout the week. I attend my Young Single Adults ward, it was quite the change and took a lot of time to get used to, but I enjoy my time in the ward now and look forward to our ward activities. I fervently participate in my calling as our ward's communication director where I manage our social media and put together our ward announcements. I simply try my best to do the basics: attend church every week, pray twice a day, and read my scriptures every day. The scriptures are the word of God, they carry the truth of the gospel and give us guidance in our lives. I always remember to read the scriptures every night, even if I'm too tired and just want to go to bed, I always make sure to read at least a verse or two. The scriptures have amazing power, they gives us strength as we continually read from them and feast upon the words of Christ. They fortify us as we battle the many temptations and battles in our lives. Heavenly Father is my best friend. I pour my heart out to him and pray to him all the time. Not just when I go to bed or wake up, but whenever I need help in my life or whenever I want to thank him for sending me a tender mercy. I find peace in knowing that my Heavenly Father has a plan for me and that he and my Savior have an undying love for me that I can never be able to comprehend. Most importantly, I strive to live a life that is worthy of the Spirit and that is exemplary of Jesus Christ. I am proud to be a member of this great church and I want to represent it the best that I can, I want all to see that I am a Mormon.
