Hi I'm Wes

I grew up in New Mexico. I'm the oldest of 6 brothers. I'm a husband, father, grandfather, and great grand father. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated from college with degrees in chemical and mechanical engineering and a masters in business. I have worked in the electrical generation field for 33 years, and have published papers on various vibrational equipment malfunctions. While going to school I worked as a welder on some interesting projects (minute man missile rails, airport and building structural steel, and heavy machinery repair). I wrote a wresting program for our local junior and high schools, that they used for tournaments for about 10 years. I also served as a city councilman working with areas of the city for 14 years under 4 different mayors. For 2 years I served on our state's league of cities and towns. I have 6 children, 3 boys, 3 girls, 19 grand children, and 1 great grand child. My wife and I have been happily married for 38 years and have visited many parts of the United States and a few countries around the world.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is that simple for me. I want to serve my Savior and do the things He has asked me to do. My ancestors have paid a great price so that I can have the blessings of the gospel in my life. The Savior has atoned for me and everyone else and our sinful and foolish natures . . . the natural man. He has purchased me and I owe him everything. His gospel is beautiful and answers every question. Our Father in Heaven is real and his only begotten Son is real . . . they live and love us more than we can comprehend. Our Savior is the perfect example for us. Our Savior and Heavenly Father have restored the gospel to the earth and established Prophets and Apostles again to help us prepare to return to Them. Those who truly want to learn of the Savior will read the Bible and The Book of Mormon, which is a history and dealings with the inhabitants of the Americas). Both books give a better understanding of our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. They completely support and give enlightenment to the truth seeker. And by the power of the Holy Ghost can all things be made known to those who will humbly seek and pray for a confirmation. I have done this and have absolutely no doubts about the truthfulness of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

For the past several years I have been working with several congregations on technology issues involving broadcasts, media presentations, and teaching others to use available materials on computers and mobile devices. I have worked with young men through teaching, camping, and progress review to achieve goals. I have served as a counselor to our congregational leader. President of the sunday school, and teacher to youth and adults. For several years I have had the opportunity to be a missionary to spread the doctrine of Christ and to bring happiness and purpose to individuals lives.
