Hi I'm Carly

I'm from small town Utah, I love books and learning, I spent four months in Ukraine teaching English, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am from Ephraim, Utah a small town surrounded by smaller towns. I have done public school, homeschool, online school, and college. I love reading, and I have a special place in my heart for Russian literature, the classics, and fantasy. I like traveling because of the opportunities to experience new people, cultures, and food. I spent some time in Ukraine teaching English through a volunteer exchange program and I really enjoyed that experience. I will soon be leaving to serve a mission in the Seattle, Washington mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I sincerely believe that this church is Jesus Christ's restored gospel. Over the years I have wavered in my beliefs, but I've found that I am happiest and at my best when I am living the principles of this gospel. It teaches me how to be a better person, and helps me to understand my purpose. The Book of Mormon has become a staple in my life and I know that I can always turn to it for truth, peace, and comfort. I love being a Mormon because of the knowledge and blessing of eternal families. When my grandpa passed away I was able to pray and receive assurance that we will be able to be with our loved ones again, which was a big comfort. I am so grateful for the sacrifice of Christ that allows me to repent for my mistakes again and again. Being a part of this church has helped me to gain a deep and true understanding of His love and the impact of that in my life.

How I live my faith

I go to church and try to learn from and teach others there. I also focus on my personal worship by saying prayers, reading scriptures, repenting for my sins, and strengthening my relationship with Jesus Christ. I live my faith by striving to just love other people and give them my help and support. I make an effort to serve people and be more selfless, and I find that I get a lot of joy from that.
