Hi I'm Jadyn

I play basketball. I want to become a physicist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the second of four children and the oldest son. My family is originally from Utah but we now reside in Maryland and love it here. I've been able to do a lot of traveling (Germany, South Korea, Aruba, Bahamas, etc.), and my mission will take me all over Montana and Wyoming. I love to play basketball and will do so at any opportunity I get. I also love to sing and have enjoyed being part of church choirs. I plan on going to the University of Utah after my mission to study physics.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because in reading the Book of Mormon and living the standards of the gospel I have felt the Holy Spirit witness to me that the doctrine of the church is of Christ. I was born into the church but over the past few years developed a strong desire to know for myself whether or not what I had been taught all my life is actually true. With this desire, as I continued to live the principles of the gospel, I had a number of experiences in which I undeniably felt the Holy Spirit testify to me that what I was living was true. I know that the gospel of Jesus Christ, in its entirety, was restored to the Earth through the prophet Joseph Smith and that it is led today by Christ through modern-day prophets. I know that Jesus Christ suffered for our sins in the Garden of Gethsemane and that because of this we all have the opportunity to repent, receive forgiveness for our sins, and live with Heavenly Father again one day. I know that the Book of Mormon is true scripture along with the Bible and that through diligent scripture study we can become closer to Heavenly Father. This is important to me because it makes this the most important work I can do while on the Earth.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by monthly meeting with and serving two families from church to which I've been assigned. This has included hospital trips, assistance with moving heavy materials and giving blessings to members of these families who were sick or preparing for surgery. On my church mission, I will be teaching the gospel to and serving the people in my area. This will be my full-time responsibility.
