Hi I'm ANGELA MILLAH AK ULAT

I'm a Mormon. I lived in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia. I will served my mission on 26th September 2017.

About Me

I'm going to serve my mission on 26 September 2017, it's a dream come true to serve a mission for me. I loves volunteering job, I felt useful to others and helps other felt better by doing so.My conversion started at the age of 17, before that conversion, I already dream to do volunteering job so by knowing the Church of Jesus Christ of the latter day saints and its missionary works, I know that is exactly what I'm going to do. I already finished my Diploma In Accountancy in UiTM.

Why I am a Mormon

Ii was 17 years old when I met missionaries. I started became interested in church when I was 12 years old but never been to church until I was 14, I was excited and want to know about God and church but no one talked to me in Church, they just give talks which I still unable to understand at that time. No one there to help, everyone with their own group. When I first visited The Church of Jesus Christ of the latter day saints for the first time, everyone were so friendly, everyone seems so happy, everyone doesn't seem they were there after being force, their smile looks like they are attending some cheerful party but they all become quite and serious when the sacrament meeting start, I felt the warm welcome but I didn't felt I belong there; not until I was on my third visit. Well, the old people has that common saying which said try everything until the third times before you can judge whether you want it or not-they talked about food though. However, I haven't receive the answer whether this is a true church not until my baptismal day, I was restless that day worrying that I might bring my family to a wrong path. When I entered the baptismal pond, I told myself, this is my last chance to pray because if this is not the true church, I'm going to run away from here. So I said a prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, please told me whether this is the true church , is this the path you want me to go? Please show me a clear sign because I'm too stupid to recognize the small sign. When I was emerged, I heard a clear voice saying Dont worry, this is the true church. Why I stayed and continue to follow His gospel mainly because of that answer. Looking back, it was no coincidence and the missionary came to my home at the right time, right when I'm about to give up knowing more about church and about God. One of the missionary said the Holy Ghost lead them to my house area, he had to search every block to find me. When He saw me for the first time, he was so sure that I am the one.

How I live my faith

I teach the youth in my branch on Sunday and I teach young single adults every Friday night. I'm young women leader in my branch and I'm Family History consultant which means I helps people with their genealogy by teaching them how to key-in the name and data of their families and ancestors to the online family tree and it can be access by them anytime, anywhere they like. Every month we have our activities in branch and I will organize the event after getting permissions from the branch presidency and if we are having district activities, I will be one of the leaders to plan the event. We will have our home-teaching every Thursday to visit and strengthen each member faith. While, for my young women, I will do visiting teaching with them. By helping and teaching others, it actually helped me build my own testimony and strengthen my faith towards Our Heavenly Father. If we put God in the first place in everything we does, everything will fall into the right place and eventually the puzzle will be solved in the right time.
