Hi I'm Carter

I survived cancer. I'm a twin. I love sports, my family, and most importantly Jesus Christ. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 18 years old will be serving an LDS Mission in San Diego, California. I love playing basketball, football, baseball, volleyball, and basically any other sport that requires some coordination. I enjoy being in the outdoors and hammocking. I'm a passionate Utah Jazz fan. Most importantly, however, I am extremely grateful for and love my family, even with all of our unique differences. I love to talk about my Savior Jesus Christ and can't wait to share His message of hope and love to the people in San Diego.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because of the blessings it affords me. The Gospel of Jesus Christ has given me something that I can hold onto through all of the trials in my life. Whether it be fighting cancer, going through my parents' divorce, or even having a rough time with friends at school, the teachings I have learned from the LDS church have always been with me and taught me that I have a Savior who will support me even when I feel like no one else can or will.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving those around me. Living with divorced parents is something that I've had to deal with for the last couple years of my life, but it has allowed me to see the kindness in others and given me many examples of how I want to treat other people. I love to participate in activities with the other youth in my neighborhood whether it be shoveling driveways for people who can't do it themselves, or raking leaves, or even just visiting widows and widowers in order to ensure they don't feel lonely.
