Hi I'm Jesikah

I grew up all over the United States. I aspire to be a geriatric social worker. I am a joy-finder and hope-spreader. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 19 years old and I will be serving a mission in September in the Nevada Las Vegas West mission. After that I am blessed to be attending the school of my dreams, BYU Provo. I have grown up all over the United States but my favorite place is the South. I enjoy anything and everything to do with art, music, movies and baking. I have a special connection with the elderly and want to be a geriatric social worker in the future.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because to be a part of this faith gives me hope and joy. Just to know that I am not perfect but that I can change to be better and happier is something that makes all the work and sacrifice worth it. I was born into this church, but I would not still be here without my undeniable testimony of my Savior and the Book of Mormon. I know the Book of Mormon is true because I've read it. I believe in Jesus Christ and my Heavenly Father because I feel them in my heart through the Holy Spirit. I receive personal revelation from God when I desire to learn, I study, and I pray. Christ strengthens me daily and I want to share the peace I receive from Him with the world. This gospel is hope. It is joy. It is peace. It is my heart, and that is why I am a Mormon, because I love it.

How I live my faith

I just graduated from our youth program where I was the President of the 16 to 18-year-old young women. That calling was truly a blessing in my life. I could lead so many beautiful girls while we uplifted and strengthened each other daily. Learning with the adults is a new experience but a good one. I enjoy visiting teaching and serving my ward members. I live my faith daily by studying my scriptures to understand things in the gospel I don't know yet, praying to my Heavenly Father for direction and comfort, and participating in wholesome activities with my family. I also love sharing the gospel and learning new ways to be a better missionary.
