Hi I'm Benjamin

I grew up in Utah. I'm attending college and serving a mission. I'm a backcountry skier. I love the mountains. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love everything about the outdoors. I love hiking up mountains and skiing down them. I love hammocking, exploring, and being with people I love outside. I am attending college currently! I will be serving a mission in Frankfurt, Germany (which I am stoked about)! I'm obsessed with ping pong, dancing (not very good), 80's music, and flying drones.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I would describe my conversion as a gradual event - over the years I have continued to come to know that the teachings of Jesus Christ as found in the LDS church provide me with a way to return to live with Him someday. I know that Jesus Christ lives. I know he died to atone for the sins of man, and was resurrected 3 days later as a glorious being. I know that the atonement provides a way for man to overcome sin and become whole again. I know that His Gospel provides the best way for man to find happiness here on Earth, and the only way to return to live with our Heavenly Father. I know that He is a very real being, with a body of flesh and bone as tangible as man's. I know that Jesus Christ and the Father are separate beings. I know that Joseph Smith restored the Gospel of Christ. I know he saw God the Father and Jesus Christ and spoke with them. I know he, through the power and blessing of God, translated the entirety of the Book of Mormon as we know it today. I know that what the Book of Mormon teaches is true. I know Priesthood power to be very real. I have seen the blessings it provides in my life. I know that through the power of the Priesthood we can make covenants with our God. I know that we have a living prophet today on the Earth in Thomas S. Monson. I know he receives revelation from God - to guide the church. I believe these things with every bit of my soul. I really do. It's all real. I bear testimony of these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer, amen.

How I live my faith

I love the Church SO much! It gives me so many opportunities to be around people, serve people, and share my faith with them. I am a secretary in my ward - I help make assignments and I stay in touch with people - teachers, in particular. I also am a home teacher - I visit several different people every month and make sure they are doing well. I absolutely love teaching and speaking - and sometimes I have the opportunity to do that as well.
