Hi I'm Bracken Blount

I grew up in Georgia. I enjoy running and spend time outside. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I have lived in the suburbs of hot and humid Georgia for as long as I can remember. I enjoyed participating on the high school track team and playing sports in general. I like to go to the lake and spend afternoons fishing with my dad and occasionally my younger brother. In the summers I often find myself in Utah where i like to hike and go rappelling, or hang out with friends and family.

Why I am a Mormon

Both my parents where members, and thanks to them I had easy access to the churches teachings growing up. This allowed me to make lifestyle decisions early on that I see the benefit of everyday, especially in high school. If it weren't for the teachings of the church, i wouldn't be the person I am now. I owe everything to God and his church and want nothing more than to continue to live the gospel and share it with others.

How I live my faith

In high school I began every morning in seminary, where I studied the scriptures and learned how to grow closer to Christ. One of my favorite ways of living my faith is through service projects, my favorite of which is operation Christmas Child, where the youth of our church go to package Christmas gifts for children in third world countries. I also served as a youth leader, where i helped plan activities, such as camp outs and service projects, for our young men and women.
