Hi I'm Colin Schow

I am from Orem, Utah. I have 3 brothers and 2 sisters. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love being outside. I appreciate nature and beauty that surrounds us. I think photography is a positive way to capture that beauty and provide a different perspective of how unique life really is. I love to learn. I enjoy connecting with others and helping people get to where they want to be, and be apart of their journey. I think it is important to realize how amazing people really are regardless of where they come from, their background, social status etc.

Why I am a Mormon

I love Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ. My testimony is based on the enabling power of our Eternal Father and the Atonement of Jesus Christ. The atonement of Jesus Christ is real. I have felt the healing power of the atonement and know that it is there for every person on this earth. He died for every sin, big or small. There is always a way. He is the hope and light of the world, and I know that through Him and the basic principles of the gospel, every soul, which is great in the sight of God, can make it back to live with him. I have a testimony that temples are the house of the Lord, and it is there that the adversary can have no power over you. I know that when we strive to follow the commandments and remain worthy to enter into the covenants the Lord has allowed us to enter, our lives are blessed. I know that regardless of where we may be in life, the struggles we may be facing, or the things we have done, His grace is sufficient for ALL our needs. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. Those He has called to bring the world His truth are called of Him, and are messengers of the love he has for you and the things He knows are best. This gospel is a consistent reminder of righteous living, and provides a blueprint in regards to the important things in life. He is Risen, He lives, and He loves all of his Children equally and the same.

How I live my faith

Home teaching for me is something I hold close to my heart. The ability the spirit has to fill a room for just 30-45 minutes once a month and testify to the members in the ward how real Heavenly Father's love is and the enabling power of His Atonement is remarkable. Having the calling as a home teacher is truly a blessing. I have seen the power that woman have as they have blessed my mothers life growing up. (Visiting teaching). I feel as though there is a direct purpose for these callings. These callings don't only bless those being taught, but those that teach with and through the spirit.
